CS Gold Safety award 2021

M.G. Newell is pleased to announce that Brian Jones has been named as the new Vice-President of Engineering for M.G. Newell, effective immediately.  In this role, Brian will report to Michael Sherrill, CEO of M.G. Newell.

Brian brings over 28 years of extensive experience in process and project management, automation, and team leadership to his new role.  Prior to M.G. Newell, Brian worked for Gilbarco, Inc. as their Vice-President of Global Forecourt Engineering.  While at Gilbarco, Brian led global, multi-geographic teams that focused on growth, product development and process improvement.  Brian also brings experience in Electrical Engineering, Controls and System Integration.

Brian graduated with an MBA from Elon University and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from N.C. State University.  Brian is also a Licensed Professional Engineer (North Carolina).

M.G. Newell expands it's Greensboro, N.C. Footprint

M.G. Newell Corporation, a distributor and full-service systems integrator of hygienic processing solutions, has opened a second location in Greensboro.  The new location at 7004 Cessna Drive will house the Greensboro Division and the Newell Automation Division.   The 40,400 sq ft of additional space includes 17,700 sq ft of skid fabrication and testing space as well as 5300 sq ft for their UL508A Certified panel shop.

ISA's Certified Control System Technician® (CCST®) Program provides a non-biased, third-party, objective assessment and confirmation of a technician's skills. CCSTs are skilled in pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic instrumentation. They understand process control loops and process control systems, including computer based systems.

ISA's three levels of CCST certification require differing degrees of technical experience, education, and training with CCST Level 3 requiring the most.



Newell Automation is pleased to announce that we are now a Certified Integrator for Inductive Automation. Ignition is a powerful industrial software platform built for SCADA, MES & IIoT applications and is used by nearly 45% of Fortune 100 companies.



What happens when an M.G. Newell engineer and welder who love beer are asked to enter a bird house competition?  A bird house brew house, of course!  The event was a fundraiser for WingHaven in Charlotte, NC and was commissioned by our customer ABV Brewing in Charlotte, NC.  To see it in person, stop by their brewery and visit their beer garden!
