Operation of the Steam/Water Venturi Mixer

Steam enters the valves through the lower steam inlets and passes through venturi inlets into the mixing chamber.

Cold water enters the valve through the upper water inlets and passes through into the mixing chamber.

As the steam passes through the venturi inlets, it is diffused and the velocity is increased.  This helps reduce scaling and noise as well as enhancing the mix.

A thermostatic shutoff valve interrupts flow the specified shutoff temperature is exceeded.
